Brief Bio
Miranda L. Egger, PhD, is an Assistant Teaching Professor and Director of Composition at the University of Colorado Denver. She teaches first-year composition courses, multimedia and digital composition, logic & argumentation, and co-teaches the teaching assistant practicum. She complete her Ph.D. in Writing, Rhetoric & Discourse Studies (with an emphasis in Technology and Media Studies) at Old Dominion University. Her professional and academic interests include: Literacy Studies (particularly theories of reading in the writing classroom); situating reading in theories of rhetorical circulation; networked, digital technologies of communication; WPA scholarship; and pedagogies that address online education, especially for at-risk undergraduate students.
